In accordance with good practice <strong>in</strong> research,<br />

participants signed consent forms under which <strong>the</strong><br />

research team gave certa<strong>in</strong> assurances regard<strong>in</strong>g<br />

anonymity to participants and <strong>the</strong>ir organisation<br />

(see Annex 4, which also <strong>in</strong>cludes <strong>the</strong> data<br />

collection <strong>in</strong>struments) . As a result, case study HAs<br />

have been listed alphabetically below (HA A – HA<br />

F), and research participants referred to by role .<br />

Case study HAs were requested to complete a<br />

pro-forma (see Annex 5) <strong>in</strong> relation to <strong>the</strong>ir most<br />

recent 20 possession cases, <strong>in</strong> ten of which <strong>the</strong>y<br />

used Ground 8 . The analysis of <strong>the</strong>se pro-formas is<br />

presented separately <strong>in</strong> Annex 1 .<br />

The next section outl<strong>in</strong>es <strong>the</strong> key f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs from <strong>the</strong><br />

case studies . The follow<strong>in</strong>g section outl<strong>in</strong>es <strong>the</strong> key<br />

f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs from <strong>the</strong> duty advisor <strong>in</strong>terviews .<br />

6.2 Case studies: key f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

In this section, we detail <strong>the</strong> key f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs as <strong>the</strong>y<br />

have emerged from our case studies . Although<br />

<strong>practices</strong> were different across <strong>the</strong> case studies,<br />

never<strong>the</strong>less our data clearly suggests that certa<strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>mes are currently prom<strong>in</strong>ent <strong>in</strong> rent <strong>arrears</strong><br />
