Section 8000 – Students<br />

8140 Interrogation and Investigations Conducted in School 8140<br />

It shall be the policy of the District that a reasonable cooperative effort is maintained<br />

between the school administration and law enforcement agencies. Law enforcement officials<br />

may be summoned in order to conduct an investigation of alleged criminal conduct on the school<br />

premises or during a school-sponsored activity or to maintain a safe educational environment.<br />

They may also be summoned for the purpose of maintaining or restoring order when the presence<br />

of such officers is necessary to prevent injury to persons or property. Administrators have the<br />

responsibility and the authority to determine when the presence and assistance of law<br />

enforcement officers is necessary within their respective jurisdictions.<br />

8150 District Student Code of Conduct 8150<br />

The District shall develop and publish a Code of Student Conduct to be distributed to all<br />

students.<br />

8160 Suspended or Expelled Students on School Property (Cf. 9470) 8160<br />

Students who are under temporary suspension or have been expelled from school are not<br />

allowed on school property or in any school building nor shall they attend any school activity,<br />

function, or event held by the schools on or off school property. (See <strong>Policy</strong> 9470)<br />
