Section 9000 – General <strong>Public</strong> and Organizational Relations<br />

9450 Complaints 9450<br />

Complaints regarding the District’s operations, programs, policies, curriculum,<br />

instructional materials, facilities, services and personnel, shall be directed to the Superintendent.<br />

Efforts will be made to resolve complaints at the lowest possible administrative level.<br />

About Personnel<br />

Complaints from parent(s)/guardian(s), students or others regarding an individual<br />

employee shall be dealt with, where applicable, in accordance with the provisions of existing<br />

employee agreements.<br />

In general, complaints about employees should be discussed by personal interview with<br />

the employee's immediate supervisor. If the complaint cannot be satisfactorily resolved by such a<br />

conference, then the complainant may place the complaint in writing, as specifically as possible<br />

and direct it to the Human Resources Division that will investigate the complaint.<br />

9470 Unauthorized Persons on School Property and Disturbances 9470<br />

For the protection and safety of students, the protection of school property and the<br />

efficient administration of school buildings, no person shall loiter on school grounds or in any<br />

school building.<br />

Students who are under temporary suspension or have been expelled from school are not<br />

allowed on school property nor shall they attend any school activity, function, or event held by<br />

the schools on or off school property.<br />

Persons causing any disturbances to school programs, school activities or on school<br />

property shall be requested to leave the school property at once. Persons who fail to leave the<br />

premises when requested to do so by proper school authorities shall be considered to be<br />

trespassing and the police will be called.<br />

School Principals or other administrators are authorized to sign formal complaints under<br />

the local city ordinances and/or state statutes.<br />
