1811 March 6 Letter from mother in East Bergholt to J.C. in Epsom,<br />

acknowledging receipt of copy of water-colour of Bergholt<br />

church: "I gave it in your name to the Rector. . . . Mr.<br />

Dunthorn neatly lettered a small tablet, which I put on the<br />

back." (JCC I, p. 57)<br />

1811 March 6 Letter from Henry Greswolde Lewis at Malvern Hall to J.C.<br />

[directed to Frith Street and then sent on to him at Epsom]:<br />

"[Mary Freer's] age was 13 when it [her portrait] was painted<br />

in 1809." Requests from J.C. several copies of his portrait.<br />

1811 March 12 Letter from Henry Kebbell to J.C. in Epsom, asking him "to<br />

take a likeness of [Doctor Rhudde] in the style of [your<br />
