The creation of an exciting international signal<br />

demanded experienced production teams thoroughly<br />

familiar with the sports, and more than<br />

1,600 personnel and 380 cameras from broadcasting<br />

organizations both within Japan and<br />

around the world were brought into service.<br />

A similar camera captured the explosive<br />

power of the athletes at the start of the<br />

bobsleigh/luge track at Spiral.<br />

• Production Facilities<br />

ORTO’98 brought OB vans to the television<br />

compounds at the competition venues and set<br />

up temporary production rooms. Equipment<br />

included approximately 380 fixed, EFP
