is a method to calculate the interfacial tension between two polymers based on their surface<br />

They claimed that the concept of spreading theory fails in their case because “the <strong>de</strong>velopment of<br />

the phase morphologies in polymer melt <strong>de</strong>pends also on other key factors such as the viscosity<br />

and elasticity of the blend. The use of the interfacial tension alone for the prediction of the type<br />

of phase morphologies in immiscible polymer melt can be successful in blend components<br />

having closer melt viscosities.”<br />
