intend to formally amend its biennial budget request to include<br />

this estimate. However, it should be noted that the actual cost <strong>of</strong><br />

on-going maintenance and support can only be reasonably<br />

estimated once a detailed implementation strategy and<br />

deployment model have been determined.<br />

Approval <strong>of</strong> this item will also allow <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficials to<br />

contract for purchase <strong>of</strong> hardware for the project, at an estimated<br />

cost not to exceed $3,000,000.<br />

The proposed contracts have been reviewed by the Office <strong>of</strong> the<br />

General Counsel.<br />

Approval <strong>of</strong> this item will also authorize the President to<br />

negotiate and enter into a Project Cooperation Agreement with<br />

the <strong>Nebraska</strong> State College System. That agreement will address<br />

internal cost allocation, governance, project director and project<br />

management issues between the two entities.<br />

Members <strong>of</strong> the public and news media may obtain copies <strong>of</strong> the<br />

contracts in the Office <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> Corporation Secretary,<br />

3835 Holdrege Street, Lincoln, <strong>Nebraska</strong> 68583, between the<br />

hours <strong>of</strong> 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday,<br />

except <strong>University</strong> holidays.<br />
