Project History:<br />
Project was programmed because PSR and PQI<br />
have met their need year and the Suffency Rating<br />
will meet the need in 2009. At that time all values<br />
will be below the rehab trigger of 2.6.<br />
Replacement of Bridge 5481, although outside of<br />
the project limits, was included in the scoping due<br />
to low load rating of HS-15, problems with fill<br />
behind the abutment and to take advantage of the<br />
project detour. Year built 1936, NBI deck rating =<br />
5, NBI structural rating = 6, sufficiency rating =<br />
80.6.<br />
Project Benefits:<br />
Improve ride, eliminate all pavement distress,<br />
reclaim will provide stronger base course, use of<br />
polymer-modified asphalt will retard future<br />
cracking, reduce maintenance costs, improve<br />
hydraulics.<br />
Project Risks:<br />
New construction procedure in test section areas.<br />
Amendment produced and added in short time<br />
frame may have errors.<br />
