Project History:<br />

The need for this project is regional mobility,<br />

highway capacity, deteriorating pavement, and<br />

highway safety. The purpose of this project is to<br />

provide greater mobility, highway capacity,<br />

adequate access to mobility, highway capacity,<br />

adequate access to City of Paynesville, greater<br />

traffic safety, and reduce or eliminate roadway<br />

deficiencies.<br />

Project Benefits:<br />

Provide greater mobility on the Willmar to St.<br />

Cloud corridor, increase highway capacity,<br />

improve safety<br />

Project Risks:<br />

The major risk of potential contaminated soil in<br />

former Paynesville City Dump has been greatly<br />

mitigated with an alignment shift.<br />
