Aviation Management Flight Option ______________<br />

This curriculum prepares the graduate for a career as a pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

pilot and aviation manager. Graduates will achieve at least<br />

commercial pilot, instrument, multiengine ratings along with a<br />

strong business and airport management foundation appropriate<br />

for diverse careers in the aviation industry. After completing the<br />

first two years <strong>of</strong> the curriculum, as listed below, with a cumulative<br />

GPA <strong>of</strong> 2.0 or higher, a student may petition for the award <strong>of</strong><br />

the Associate <strong>of</strong> Science in Aviation Management Flight Option<br />

Aviation Meteorology ________________________<br />

This program provides a background in meteorology, aeronautical<br />

science and the appropriate physical sciences. A student completing<br />

the program meets the requirements <strong>of</strong> the U.S. Office <strong>of</strong><br />

Personnel Management for employment by the federal government<br />

as a meteorologist. Graduates are prepared for careers with<br />

major airlines, corporate aviation and the FAA, as well as international<br />

organizations.<br />

B.S. and M.S. degrees in meteorology are also <strong>of</strong>fered as<br />

options in the environmental sciences program in the College <strong>of</strong><br />

Engineering.<br />
