eCommerce <strong>Technology</strong> ______________________<br />

The eCommerce technology program <strong>of</strong>fers an interdisciplinary<br />

approach that bridges information systems, computing, business<br />

and communication disciplines. The integration <strong>of</strong> these<br />

disciplines provides a solid foundation for effective management<br />

<strong>of</strong> today’s complex systems. The program emphasizes strategic,<br />

managerial, operational and technical aspects <strong>of</strong> systems using<br />

appropriate decision tools, methods and technologies. Verbal<br />

and nonverbal communication modes are incorporated into the<br />

problem-solving process to promote the use <strong>of</strong> different information<br />

technologies including multimedia, Web and distributed<br />

environments.<br />

Candidates for a Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in eCommerce <strong>Technology</strong><br />

Information Management ____________________<br />

The information management program provides an opportunity<br />

for students to gain valuable skills for use in a wide variety <strong>of</strong><br />

organizations. As the liaison between information systems and<br />

management, graduates are able to provide significant, valuable<br />

contributions to the decision-making capabilities <strong>of</strong> an organization.<br />

The course work provides a solid understanding <strong>of</strong> the<br />

business core (management, accounting, finance, marketing and<br />

economics), supplemented by specialized knowledge and capabilities<br />

in information systems. The business practicum (focused<br />

on information systems) provides students an opportunity to<br />

hone their skills in a real-world environment, enabling them to<br />

confidently enter their future positions ready to make meaningful<br />

contributions.<br />

Candidates for a Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Information Management<br />

must complete the minimum course requirements as outlined<br />

in the following curriculum. The first year is the same as for the<br />

Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Business Administration.<br />
