Aviation Meteorology Flight Option _______________
This program prepares the student for a career as a professional
pilot with a strong meteorological and physical science
background. A student completing the program also meets the
requirements of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management
for employment by the federal government as a meteorologist.
Students are afforded significant flexibility in career choices
upon graduation. On completion of the first two years of the
curriculum and satisfaction of the associate degree core requirements,
with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher, the
student may petition for the award of the Associate of Science in
Aviation Meteorology Flight Option degree.
