As it relates to the contracting of HIV, a few questions were asked which common
perceptions among the general public are. Responses are below:
Contracting HIV from mosquito
Though HIV related information and education is so readily available 4.3% of
participants agree that one can become infected with HIV from a mosquito bite. The
information and educational programs have proven effective though because 93.8%
disagree.

Contracting HIV from sharing a meal
Some 79.8% of the participants disagreed with the statement which says that one can
become infected with HIV if they share a meal with someone who is infected, and while
17.5% does not know whether to agree or disagree with the statement 2.6% agrees.
