for not recommending the facility where they received medical care would be:
- Unfriendly
- Did not treat foreigners well
- Location
- Price
Characteristics of an excellent health care system
Based on the FGD, characteristics of an excellent health care facility include free health
care, confidentiality, respect for MSM, clean environment and friendly staff.

Clearly, price and confidentiality and helpful staff are the most important factors for
accessing medical care. This information must be shared with the health care facilities
and taken into consideration when training is conducted.
Other issues
When questioned about what other members in their core group complained about, 60%
of the guys said that their core group suffered from the effects of stigma and
discrimination and 18.9% said that the cost of health care was a issue. The guys in the
