According to the DATS Manager, almost every inmate that applies for the TC program gets<br />

admitted. The only reason that they would not admit someone is for physical or mental health<br />

problems.<br />

Intake, Exit, and Follow-up Procedures<br />

According to the Inmate Handbook, each inmate must complete an intake application and other<br />

consent forms with their assigned DATS. They must also complete a psychosocial assessment<br />

with their DATS.<br />

7. What is the normal program enrollment? (ie., at one specific time) [Source: program<br />

documents].<br />

According to the Evaluation Procedures, normal program enrollment is 100 beds, although the<br />

DATS Manager stated that the number would be going up to 110 shortly.<br />

8. What is the normal length of stay for an inmate in this program? [Source: program<br />

According to the DATS Supervisor, the n o d length of stay is 36 weeks.<br />

9. What are the criteria for successful program completion? For an unsuccessful discharge?<br />

[Source: program documents, DATS Supervisor/Mgr. 3.<br />

The DATS Manager stated that the criteria for a successful completion are that each inmate must<br />

meet all treatment plan goals and have no misconducts. For an unsuccessfbl discharge to take<br />

place an inmate would have to have broken rules, have misconducts, or have broken<br />

coddent iality.<br />
