The <strong>Oregon</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>Bar</strong> received a complaint from AMCO concerning the<br />

Accused's conduct on March 26, 2003. On April 2, 2003, Disciplinary Counsel’s<br />

Office forwarded a copy of the complaint to the Accused and requested his response<br />

to it by April 23, 2003. The Accused responded on April 24, 2003. On July 16,<br />

2003, Disciplinary Counsel’s Office requested the Accused to provide additional<br />

information concerning his conduct by July 30, 2003. The Accused made no<br />

response. On August 5, 2003, Disciplinary Counsel’s Office again requested the<br />

Accused to provide additional information concerning his conduct by August 15,<br />

2003. The Accused made no response, and Disciplinary Counsel’s Office referred the<br />

matter to the Clackamas/Linn/Marion County LPRC for further investigation.<br />

The Accused admits that, by engaging in the conduct described in paragraphs<br />

5 through 7 of this stipulation, he violated DR 6-101(B) and DR 1-103(C).<br />

Facts<br />

On or about May 12, 1999, the Accused undertook to represent Allied<br />

Insurance/Premium Collection (hereinafter “Allied”) in collection litigation.<br />

From May 12, 1999, through about April 25, 2002, the Accused failed to file<br />

suit, failed to respond to Allied’s attempts to contact him, and failed to keep Allied<br />

informed about the status of its case.<br />

The <strong>Oregon</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>Bar</strong> received a complaint from Allied concerning the<br />

Accused's conduct on April 7, 2003. On April 9, 2003, Disciplinary Counsel’s Office<br />

forwarded a copy of the complaint to the Accused and requested his response to it<br />

by April 30, 2003. The Accused responded on April 24, 2003. On July 16, 2003,<br />

Disciplinary Counsel’s Office requested the Accused to provide additional<br />

information concerning his conduct by July 30, 2003. The Accused made no<br />

response. On August 5, 2003, Disciplinary Counsel’s Office again requested the<br />

Accused to provide additional information concerning his conduct by August 15,<br />

2003. The Accused made no response, and Disciplinary Counsel’s Office referred the<br />

matter to the Clackamas/Linn/Marion County LPRC for further investigation.<br />
