2. Subjected to such other penalty as the ASAA Executive <strong>in</strong> its absolute discretion deems<br />

appropriate.<br />

F. Subject to paragraph G here<strong>in</strong>, compla<strong>in</strong>ts of violations of the Athletic Recruitment and Undue<br />

Influence policy of the ASAA will not be <strong>in</strong>vestigated or acted upon as set out here<strong>in</strong> unless the<br />

compla<strong>in</strong>t is submitted <strong>in</strong> writ<strong>in</strong>g to the Secretary of the ASAA Zone <strong>in</strong> which the school is located<br />

and to the Executive Director of the ASAA, no later than 15 clear days be<strong>for</strong>e the prov<strong>in</strong>cial<br />

championship date <strong>for</strong> the sport to which the compla<strong>in</strong>t relates.<br />

G. Notwithstand<strong>in</strong>g paragraph F of this policy, the ASAA Executive may <strong>in</strong>vestigate and act upon<br />

compla<strong>in</strong>ts of violations of this policy received after completion of any prov<strong>in</strong>cial championship<br />

event, provided that each such compla<strong>in</strong>t is submitted <strong>in</strong> writ<strong>in</strong>g to the ASAA Executive Director as<br />

follows:<br />

1. For track and field and rugby events-on or be<strong>for</strong>e June 30 <strong>in</strong> the school year <strong>in</strong> which the<br />

violation is alleged to have occurred;<br />

2. For all other events-on or be<strong>for</strong>e May 30 <strong>in</strong> the school year <strong>in</strong> which the violation is alleged<br />

to have occurred.<br />

H. Any student, coach, teacher, school staff or adm<strong>in</strong>istrative personnel of a member school who<br />

violates this policy may be excluded from prov<strong>in</strong>cial competition by the ASAA Executive <strong>for</strong> any<br />

period of time that the ASAA Executive <strong>in</strong> its absolute discretion deems appropriate, and may be<br />

subjected to such other penalty as the ASAA Executive <strong>in</strong> its absolute discretion deems appropriate.<br />

Without limit<strong>in</strong>g the generality of the <strong>for</strong>ego<strong>in</strong>g, any student who has been recruited <strong>in</strong> violation of<br />

this policy may be deemed <strong>in</strong>eligible <strong>for</strong> any ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial competition or any activity lead<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

an ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial competition <strong>for</strong> the rema<strong>in</strong>der of the school year <strong>in</strong> which the policy <strong>in</strong>fraction<br />

took place.<br />

I. Without limit<strong>in</strong>g the generality of the <strong>for</strong>ego<strong>in</strong>g, the ASAA Executive may impose the follow<strong>in</strong>g<br />

penalties <strong>for</strong> violation of this policy:<br />

1. When, prior to ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial championships, it is determ<strong>in</strong>ed that a coach, player or other<br />

person associated with a team from any ASAA member school has violated this policy, that<br />

team may be suspended from participat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial championship competition<br />

and any activity lead<strong>in</strong>g to an ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial competition <strong>for</strong> that season.<br />

2. Where the violation is discovered after ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial championships, the team and ASAA<br />

member school found <strong>in</strong> violation of this policy may be stripped of any medals won <strong>in</strong> ASAA<br />

championship competition or activity lead<strong>in</strong>g to an ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial competition and may be<br />

suspended from participation <strong>in</strong> prov<strong>in</strong>cial championships or any activity lead<strong>in</strong>g to an ASAA<br />

prov<strong>in</strong>cial championship <strong>for</strong> the next full season of play<br />

3. Any coach <strong>in</strong> violation of this policy may be suspended from coach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> any ASAA<br />

prov<strong>in</strong>cial championship competition and <strong>in</strong> any activity lead<strong>in</strong>g to an ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial<br />

competition <strong>in</strong> any sport <strong>for</strong> any period of time that the ASAA Executive <strong>in</strong> its absolute<br />

discretion deems appropriate. Further, the ASAA member school team coached by said coach<br />

may be stripped of any medals won, and may be suspended from participation <strong>in</strong> ASAA<br />

prov<strong>in</strong>cial championship competition or any activity lead<strong>in</strong>g to an ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial<br />

championship competition <strong>for</strong> the next full season of play.<br />

J. In the event that any coach is found <strong>in</strong> violation of this policy a second time, that coach shall be<br />

suspended <strong>for</strong> life from <strong>in</strong>volvement <strong>in</strong> any ASAA sponsored sport or any activity or sport lead<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

an ASAA prov<strong>in</strong>cial competition.<br />

K. The outcome of each case brought to a zone executive shall be presented at the next general meet<strong>in</strong>g<br />

of the ASAA. Adm<strong>in</strong>istrators, teacher-coaches and advisors must assume responsibility <strong>for</strong> the<br />
