Supervision<br />
• On-site supervision is recommended follow<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>itial skill <strong>in</strong>struction and after<br />
all safety concerns have been emphasized.<br />
• It is recommended that teachers/coaches attend the Safe Rugby cl<strong>in</strong>ics provided<br />
through Rugby <strong>Alberta</strong> and Rugby Canada.<br />

Equipment/Facilities<br />
• Regulation rugby balls should be used.<br />
• Goalposts must be padded if with<strong>in</strong> the field of play.<br />
• Collapsible, soft pylons or flags off the sidel<strong>in</strong>es, should be used to mark<br />
corners, mid l<strong>in</strong>e and 22 m (66’) l<strong>in</strong>e.<br />
• Student athletes should use flags and belt types similar to those used <strong>for</strong> flag<br />
football.<br />
