REN21’s Renewables 2013 Global Status Report includes a section on rural renewable energy, based on input from local experts working around the world. The report highlights how renewables are providing access to energy for millions of people and contributing to a better quality of life through the use of modern cooking, heating/cooling, and electricity technologies.
