documented successful maths and
science outreach programme used
to unpack the underlying systemic
problems clearly shows that no
amount of tinkering with the
existing system will ever produce
the desired results, and no
treatment of symptoms will help.
What is needed is an appreciation
of the underlying problems in the
total education system which will
take more than politically
expedient statements and decrees
to be effective. The final conclusion
therefore is that the JIPSA initiative
is therefore not just in time, but
just out of time!
