Role and Expertise<br />
As president and CEO <strong>of</strong> Skanska USA Building Inc., Bill is responsible<br />
for overall management and operations. He also oversees the company’s<br />
procurement business and is the developer and sponsor <strong>of</strong> Skanska’s<br />
National Green Council, promoting environmentally responsible<br />
construction. Under Bills’ leadership, Skanska has developed a culture <strong>of</strong><br />
transparency and safety.<br />
It isn’t <strong>of</strong>ten the timing <strong>of</strong> a project aligns perfectly<br />
with the availability <strong>of</strong> the most technically qualified<br />
team, in THEIR hometown! The <strong>St</strong>. Pete Pier represents a<br />
transformational project, and having the opportunity to<br />
be a part <strong>of</strong> this journey with the <strong>City</strong>, is very exciting! As<br />

The park will include sculpted landscaped areas<br />
and ecological habitats such as salt marshes,<br />
recreational facilities for sports such as soccer<br />
and basketball, a marina for recreational<br />
boating, protected waters for kayaking, and a<br />
limited amount <strong>of</strong> development essential to<br />
the park’s maintenance and operation that will<br />
include retail, restaurant, residential and hotel<br />

Under an immensely tight schedule Skanska<br />
USA Building and Skanska USA Civil<br />
completed the construction <strong>of</strong> the stadium<br />
with zero loss time accidents. Work involved<br />
the construction <strong>of</strong> a technologically advanced<br />
open-air stadium with seats for 82,500<br />
spectators, including 217 luxury suite boxes.<br />
