page is updated regularly and used <strong>to</strong> the best advantage for the<br />

healthcare group and its patients.<br />

Information and Consultation: Consultation (meaning the exchange<br />

of views and establishment of dialogue between the Employees’<br />

representatives and the <strong>Hospital</strong>) takes place on decisions relating <strong>to</strong>:<br />

• Probable development of the activities of the organisation.<br />

• Probable development of employment within the organisation or<br />

any measures envisaged, in particular where there is a threat <strong>to</strong><br />

employment.<br />

Consultation shall be with a view <strong>to</strong> reaching agreement on such<br />

decisions, and complies with the <strong>Hospital</strong>’s obligations under<br />

Employees (Provision of Information and Consultation) Act 2006 and<br />

the Health Services Information and Consultation Agreement 2006.<br />

External Communications<br />

Communications with the Media: Enquires from the media in relation<br />

<strong>to</strong> any aspect of the <strong>Hospital</strong>’s activities, policies or patients should be<br />

referred as follows:<br />

• During normal working hours: The Group Chief Executive or<br />

Direc<strong>to</strong>r of Operations.<br />

• Outside normal working hours: Senior Nurse Management who<br />

will liaise with Senior <strong>Hospital</strong> Management.<br />

Giving interviews, statements or any other information connected<br />

with the services provided by the <strong>Hospital</strong> should not be undertaken<br />

without the prior approval of the Group Chief Executive or the<br />
