The Direc<strong>to</strong>r of Quality, Risk & Consumer Affairs acts as patient<br />

advocate within this group.<br />

Prayer Room: The <strong>Hospital</strong> provides prayer room facilities that are<br />

open <strong>to</strong> all Employees. Facilities are available 24 hours a day, 7 days<br />

a week. To access these facilities Employees will require their staff ID<br />

card.<br />

Religious Services & Pas<strong>to</strong>ral Care: The Chaplaincy Department<br />

provides Pas<strong>to</strong>ral Care for patients, their relatives and Employees.<br />

There is a Catholic Chaplain on duty at all times. The Chaplaincy<br />

service is ecumenical. The Church of Ireland Minister visits every day<br />

and Ministers from other religions can be contacted on request.<br />

The <strong>Hospital</strong> Chapel is located on the ground floor and is open all<br />

day. The Ora<strong>to</strong>ry for private prayer is located beside the Shop in the<br />

Main Hall and is open at all times. Times of Masses and other services<br />

are displayed on the notice board in the Main Hall and patients,<br />

Employees and visi<strong>to</strong>rs are welcome.<br />

Dignity at Work<br />

The Dignity at Work policy for the Health Service has been prepared<br />

by the HSE - Employers Agency and Trade Unions <strong>to</strong> ensure that all<br />

Employees are treated with dignity and respect in the workplace and<br />

that Employees realise their duty of care <strong>to</strong> treat others with dignity<br />

and respect.<br />

Dignity at Work protects Employees from bullying, sexual harassment<br />

and harassment from either a work colleague or a person with whom<br />

an Employee comes in<strong>to</strong> contact during their work. All <strong>Hospital</strong><br />

Employees must comply with the Dignity at Work policy.<br />
