Section 9: Pay & Benefits<br />

Salary Details: Details relating <strong>to</strong> your salary are outlined in your<br />

Contract of Employment.<br />

Getting on<strong>to</strong> the Payroll: To ensure that you receive your first salary<br />

payment in a timely and efficient manner after you commence<br />

employment you must complete the “Employee Details Form”<br />

provided by the Human Resources Department.<br />

Rates of Pay: Pay rates, allowances and other pay-related conditions<br />

are as approved by the Department of Health & Children. These rates<br />

are determined through negotiations between Employee<br />

organisations and management representatives. These pay rates are<br />

referred <strong>to</strong> as Consolidated Pay Scales. You can access the<br />

Consolidated Pay Scales on the <strong>Hospital</strong> Intranet.<br />

Pay Frequency: Employees are paid directly by electronic transfer in<strong>to</strong><br />

their nominated bank account by the <strong>Hospital</strong>. Your contract of<br />

employment will state the frequency by which you will be paid.<br />

Monthly Payroll Payday is the last working day of each<br />

calendar month. The December<br />

payroll is paid pre-Christmas and the<br />

date is notified in November each<br />

year.<br />
