Such re-employment is certified by the Vice-Chancellor shall be in the interest<br />
of the University. The Board of Management may, when it is found to be in<br />
the interest of the University, offer contract appointment to superannuated<br />
persons. A contract shall not exceed 2 years at a time, subject to such<br />
appointments not extending beyond the age of 65 years.<br />
o.16.13 Notwithstanding anything contained in any of the rules, where an employee<br />
absents himself unauthorisedly from duty, the Act shall cause interruption<br />
in service entailing forfeiture of salary during the period of unauthorized<br />
absence and even of past services.<br />
o.16.14 Where an employee forfeits his past service under Rules, he shall lose the<br />
benefit of all increments earned by him in the scale of pay of the post which<br />
he was holding at the time of interruption and such past service shall not<br />
be counted for the purpose of increments in salary or leave.<br />
Note: - Refusal to do work though physically present at the place of duty<br />
shall be treated as unauthorised absence constituting interruption in service<br />
and entailing forfeiture of past service.<br />
o.16.15 Unless in any case it be otherwise provided in these rules, an employee on<br />
substantive appointment to any permanent post acquires a lien on that<br />
post and ceases to hold any lien previously acquired on any other post.<br />
o.16.16 Unless his lien is suspended or transferred under rules, an employee on<br />
substantive appointment to any permanent post acquires a lien on that<br />
post and ceases to hold any lien previously acquired on any other post:<br />
(a) While performing the duties of that post,<br />
(b)<br />
(c)<br />
(d)<br />
(e)<br />
(f)<br />
Conditions of service of teachers and other employees<br />
While on Foreign Service or holding a temporary post, or officiating<br />
on another post,<br />
During joining time on transfer to another post unless he/she is<br />
transferred substantively to a post on lower pay, in which case his/<br />
her lien is transferred to the new post from the date on which he/she<br />
is relieved from duties of the old post,<br />
While on leave,<br />
While under suspension, and<br />
While under training.
