O.6.1 ORDINANCE FOR CONDUCT OF EXAMINATION AND EVALUATION<br />
OF STUDENTS PERFORMANCE<br />
O.6.1(1) General:<br />
The conduct of examination and evaluation of students’ performance shall<br />
be governed by the following general rules which shall come into force<br />
from July 2011 onwards.<br />
O.6.1(2) Conduct of Examination:<br />
(a) Subject Committee:<br />
There shall be a Subject Committee as under for a term of two years:<br />
(i) Convener/Coordinator* of the subject: Chairperson<br />
(to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor)<br />
(ii) One Faculty of the subject concerned: Member<br />
(to be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor)<br />
(iii) Two External subject experts: Member<br />
(to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor<br />
on the recommendation of the Chairperson)<br />
* Note: In case the Convener/Coordinator is not a faculty member<br />
of the University, the Director (Academic/Schools) shall be the<br />
Chairperson.<br />
Presence of at least one external subject expert is required for<br />
the quorum.<br />
(b) Functions of Subject Committee:<br />
(i) Appointment of Question Paper Setters/Moderators/Examiners:<br />
The Subject Committee established as per statutory provision shall draw<br />
up a panel of paper setters, moderators and examiners for each course and<br />
submit the same to the Vice-Chancellor through the Controller of<br />
Examinations, who shall appoint the paper setters, moderators and examiners<br />
from the above drawn panels for a period of two years. Only those persons<br />
who have at least 5 years of teaching/research/professional experience<br />
shall be eligible for inclusion in the panel.
