India, the Government is pleased to authorise the publication in the Rajasthan Gazette
of the following translation in the English language of Rajasthan Vishvavidhyalayon
ke Adhyapak Tatha Adhikari (Niyukti ke Liye Chayan) (Sansodhan) Adhyadesh.

Further, to amend the Rajasthan Universities, Teachers and Officers (Selection for
Appointment) Act, 1974.
Whereas the Rajasthan State Legislature is not in session and the Governor
of the State of Rajasthan is satisfied that the circumstances exist which render it
necessary for him to take immediate action;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article
213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor here by promulgates in the Fortyeighth
Year of the Republic of India the following Ordinance namely :-
1. Short title and commencement-
(1) This Ordinance may be called the Rajasthan Universities’
Teachers and Officers (Selection for Appointment) (Amendment)
ordinance. 1997.
(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 3 rd
day of March, 1997.
2. Amendment of Section 2, Rajasthan Act No. 18 of 1974- In sub-section (1)
of the Rajasthan Universities’ Teachers and Officers (Selection for
Appointment) Act, 1997 (Rajasthan Act No.18 of 1974), hereinafter referred
to as the Principal Act:
