(2) Director shall be a wholetime officer of the University.<br />

(3) There shall be appointed as many Directors as the Board of Management<br />
may deem proper and one of the Directors shall be incharge of the<br />
administrative affairs of the teachers.<br />
(4) The salary, allowances and other conditions of service of the Directors shall<br />
be such as may be prescribed by the Ordinances of the University.<br />
(5) Director shall retire on attaining the age of sixty years.<br />
(6) Director shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be<br />
prescribed by the Ordinance of the University.<br />
4. Registrar<br />
(1) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Board of Management on the<br />
recommendation of Selection Committee constituted for the purpose by the<br />
said Board:<br />
Provided that the first Registrar of the University shall be appointed by the<br />
Chancellor after consultation with the State Government for a period not<br />
exceeding three years on such terms and conditions as the Chancellor may<br />
determine.<br />
(2) The Registrar shall be a wholetime officer of the University.<br />
(3) The salary, allowances and other conditions of service of the Registrar shall<br />
be such as may be prescribed by the Ordinances of the University from time<br />
to time.<br />
(4) The Registrar shall retire on attaining the age of sixty years.<br />
(5) The Registrar shall have the power to take disciplinary action against such<br />
classes or categories of employees other than teachers, as may be authorised<br />
by the Vice-Chancellor.<br />
(6) An appeal against the order made under clause (5) may be preferred to an<br />
officer especially empowered in this behalf by the Board of Management.<br />
(7) The Registrar may, if he is of the opinion after completing the enquiry that<br />
adequate punishment cannot be awarded by him, submit a report along with<br />
his recommendation regarding punishment to the Vice-Chancellor who may,<br />
after considering the report, impose any penalty.
