o.16.28 Resignations:<br />

Resignation of teachers and other members of the academic staff or an<br />

employee shall be governed by Statute 18 appended to the ordinance dated<br />

23 July, 1987 issued by the Governor of Rajasthan.<br />

o.16.29 Pay:<br />

Except in the case of personal pay, the pay of an employee shall<br />

not be increased so as to exceed the pay sanctioned for his post.<br />

An employee shall, on his/her appointment by direct recruitment<br />

to a post on a time-scale, draw pay at the minimum of the timescale<br />

unless the appointing authority decides that he/she shall<br />

draw pay at any higher stage.<br />

Where an employee holding a post in a substantive, temporary or<br />

officiating capacity is promoted or appointed to another post<br />

carrying a higher time-scale of pay, the initial pay in the higher<br />

time-scale of pay shall be fixed at the stage next above the pay<br />

notionally arrived at in the lower time-scale of pay, by increasing<br />

the actual pay drawn by him in the lower time-scale by one<br />

increment. A re-fixation of pay shall be allowed whenever there is<br />

a change of pay in the lower time-scale.<br />

Provided also that where an employee is, immediately before his<br />

promotion or appointment to a higher post, drawing pay at the<br />

maximum of the time-scale of the lower post, his initial pay in the<br />

time-scale of the higher post shall be fixed at the stage in that<br />

time-scale next above such maximum in the lower post.<br />

Note: -<br />

The Provision of this rule shall not apply to cases of revision of<br />

scales of pay referred to in the following rule.<br />

o.16.30 The holder of a post, the pay of which is changed or revised, shall be<br />

treated as if he/she was transferred to a new post on the pay, provided that<br />

he/she may at his/her option retain the old pay until the date on which he/
