has not completed his period of probation satisfactorily, the appointing<br />

authority may-<br />

(a)<br />

(b)<br />

Revert to the post held by him/her immediately before such<br />

appointment.<br />

Terminate the services of directoly appointed person from the<br />

University at any time by serving one month’s notice in writing or on<br />

payment of one month’s pay and allowance in lieu of such notice.<br />

o.16.21Every person appointed to a permanent post in the University by promotion<br />

or by direct recruitment shall, on satisfactorily completing the period of<br />

probation, be eligible for substantive appointment to that post.<br />

o.16.22 Temporary and Permanent Service:<br />

(b)<br />

An employee shall be a temporary employee of the University till he/<br />

she is appointed substantively to a permanent post under the<br />

University.<br />

An employee appointed substantively to any permanent post in the<br />

University shall be a permanent employee of the University.<br />

o.16.23 Substantive Appointment:<br />

No employee shall be appointed substantively to any post unless-<br />

(a)<br />

(b)<br />

Such a post is permanent and lying vacant.<br />

The person has been duly selected and such an appointment is<br />

approved by the appointing authority of the University.<br />

o.16.24 Termination of Service:<br />

The services of a temporary employee may be terminated by the Appointing<br />

Authority without assigning any reason by a notice of one month in writing<br />

to the employee or on payment of one month’s pay and allowances in lieu<br />

of such notice.<br />

o.16.25<br />

Without prejudice to the provisions of O.16.24 the service of a<br />

temporary employee shall terminate-
