Unit 7P2 SEWER DISPOSAL PIPE NETWORK Supplying, laying and jointing or fixing in position PVC pipes, fittings and specials, complete as shown in drawings and as directed. Rate to include for necessary additional excavation, preparation of surfaces, disposal of excavated material, upholding sides of excavation, backfilling, removal of dead services if any. Rate LKR Amount LKR Contractor shall refer to the drawings, specifications, notes, measurement and rate clauses and trade preambles before pricing. The contractor shall submit shop drawings for the approval of the Engineer, prior to commencing of the work. Unless otherwise specified by the drawings and the specifications: Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) pipes shall be used in the plumbing installation and they must conform in every respect to the requirements of SN8 of BS EN 1401-1-1998 or the relevant standards. All fittings and pipe specials used in the installation shall be suitable and compatible with all respects to the pipe line to which fittings and specials are fixed. Samples shall be provided for approval by the Engineer prior to purchase of all materials. Note Note Note Note Note Note Unless otherwise measured separately, rates for pipe work shall include for: Complying with the relevant, standard and regulations of the local authority and or any other relevant authorities. Allowing necessary work spaces, any additional excavation and back filling required during testing and commissioning and complying wih any other requirements as per the specifications. Supply and laying of pipes to falls. Connection to sides of manholes etc. Providing sleeves where pipes pass through walls, foundations etc. Providing GI sleeves as required for pipe protection where pp pipe is left exposed. Pipe penetrations through floor slabs or beams where necessary. Sundry items related to the work where necessary as required by the Engineer. All necessary accessories, threaded and grooved fittings unless otherwise measured separately.
