11 1931 The Commonwealth Bank of Australia took over the troubled<br />
Government Savings Bank of NSW. The Nowra branch was<br />
situated in the former Savings Bank premises.<br />

1 1915 The South Coast Waratahs concluded their cooee march from Nowra<br />
to Sydney. The party, originally 50 but now 116 strong made their<br />
triumphal entry in rain and mud. They were welcomed by the<br />
Premier, Hon. W A Holman MLA and then left for the Liverpool<br />
Camp for training and overseas service.<br />

1 1889 Establishment of the Cambewarra and Meroo Dairy Co. It was<br />
located on the lane east of the road from Bomaderry to Kangaroo<br />
Valley but only operated until 1906.<br />
