PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE<br />
<strong>Ford</strong> volunteers are the face of <strong>Ford</strong> in the<br />
community, building on the company’s history of caring<br />
and community service, and getting involved in creating<br />
a better world. Projects in dozens of countries — in<br />
Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas — included a<br />
variety of causes. Some of the projects accomplished<br />
across the globe during this year’s Global Week of<br />
Caring included renovating schools, planting trees<br />
and cleaning up parks by volunteers in South Africa.<br />
Volunteers in China set up a computer lab, sponsored a<br />
school outing and cleaned parks. Volunteers in Kenya<br />
collected clothes and sanitary supplies for impoverished<br />
girls. <strong>Ford</strong> Germany volunteers donated their time by<br />

mentoring teens, repairing playgrounds and helping the<br />
elderly. Volunteers in Brazil collected food and toiletries,<br />
and repaired nursery and social service offices. Orphans<br />
were provided meals, clothing and medical check-ups in<br />
India. More than a thousand <strong>Ford</strong> employees in the U.S.<br />
installed playground equipment, distributed food,<br />
repaired schools and restored environmentally sensitive<br />
areas. Volunteers in El Salvador and Honduras built<br />
housing. Beaches and forests were cleaned and repairs<br />
to social institutions were the focus in Spain. Any<br />
location where <strong>Ford</strong> volunteers joined forces, they<br />
definitely made a world of difference.<br />

volunteers worked with school children,<br />
organized a play and talked with local<br />
people about environmental awareness.<br />
3) South Korean volunteers went to work<br />
at St. Joseph Village helping ill, disabled<br />
and homeless residents. 4) <strong>Ford</strong> volunteers<br />
in Brazil renovated a facility for children at<br />
risk and donated baskets of goods for the<br />
institution. 5) Volunteers in South Africa<br />
helped paint, garden and provide juice and<br />
goodie bags at the Le Amogetswe Safe<br />
Home for abandoned children.<br />
