a. A holistic assessment of Women and Child Development sector needs including<br />
Training Need Analysis (TNA) for various stakeholders within sector.<br />
b. Rigorous training to all staff and officers on various issues in women and child<br />
development.<br />
c. Networking of all the stakeholders particularly non-governmental organizations at<br />
the various levels for facilitating a dialogue, sharing of experience and best<br />
practices and self-learning.<br />
d. Through such networking linking together the public and private resources and<br />
infrastructure for women and child development.<br />
e. Monitoring and evaluation women and child development programmes and<br />
facilitating the necessary policy reform for better outcome of such initiatives.<br />
f. Documenting best practices and experiences with initiatives of government and<br />
non-governmental organizations<br />
g. Undertaking research in various issued in women and child development and<br />
policy advocacy to the government<br />
h. Convergence of various schemes and programmes of various departments and<br />
initiatives from non-governmental organizations for women and child<br />
development. .<br />
3. A Plan of Action<br />
In order to translate the mission and objectives into actual practice, the following course<br />
of actions is proposed initially after establishment of the center.<br />
a) Sectoral and Departmental TNA<br />
The Center would then undertake Training Need Analysis for the Women and Child<br />
Development. TNA would reveal the priority areas of training and also the magnitude of<br />
training needs. This would form the basis for planning an annual training calendar for the<br />
women and child development.<br />
