• Facilitate preparation and Publication of papers, articles, reports, occasional<br />
papers, working papers, monographs, white papers<br />
• Evolve standards/norms for conduct of research.<br />
4.0 Guidelines for Identification of Research Areas by Centers<br />
In order to identify relevant research areas the Centers need to seek answers to following<br />
questions with specific reference to their areas of concern:<br />
• What are the practical questions that need attention<br />
• What informed decisions need to be made<br />
• How could certain changes be effected <br />
• What new information could be added<br />
• What difference will the proposed change make<br />
• What do people think and want<br />
• How to maintain congruence between people's expectations and that of the change<br />
agent's .<br />
• What advanced knowledge about an underlying process could be added<br />
• How to link various issues / topics / themes under a common general statement<br />
How to extend a principle into new areas or issues<br />
• What information stimulate new explanations .<br />
• What information contradicts prior beliefs about a subject<br />
• How certain policy changes could be effected<br />
• What specific information will be required to effect policy changes<br />
5.0 Ensuring Usefulness of YASHADA Research<br />
In order to ensure the usefulness of research to be taken up the R & DC needs to pinpoint<br />
(a) who are the end-users of the research findings and (b) what will be the valueadded<br />
by research findings to users.<br />
6.0 Partnerships with Research Organizations<br />
The R & DC needs to establish such partnerships with organizations that will contribute<br />
to (a) the actual conduct of research, (b) publicizing findings, (c) share information and<br />
expertise, (d) provide and/or facilitate' financial support required. Suggested partnerships'<br />
could be formed with enterprises from:<br />
• ATIs<br />
• National level institutes like lIPA<br />
• Academia: universities, private educational / training / research institutes NGOs<br />
/ CBOs<br />
