Child safety locks<br />
Manual child locks in the rear doors<br />
Electric child safety locks and<br />
disabling the rear window buttons<br />
(option)<br />
Press the switch on the driver’s door. A message<br />
appears on the information display.<br />
To activate the child safety locks:<br />
– Turn the ignition key to position I or II.<br />
– Press the button. When the light in the<br />
button illuminates, the rear power windows<br />
and rear doors are locked.<br />

Manual child lock in rear left door<br />
To lock manually: The child safety locks are<br />
found on the trailing edge of the rear doors<br />
and are only accessible when the doors are<br />
open. Use the key blade to turn the lock and<br />
thus activate or deactivate the child safety<br />
lock.<br />
A. The doors cannot be opened from inside.<br />
B. The doors can be opened from inside.<br />
Switch for electric child safety locks and disengaging<br />
rear power window buttons.<br />
WARNING<br />
Always keep the lock buttons pulled up<br />
when driving. In the event of an accident,<br />
this allows the emergency services to get<br />
into the car quickly. Passengers in the rear<br />
seat cannot open the doors from inside if<br />
the child safety locks are activated.<br />
NOTE<br />
Cars with electric child safety locks do not<br />
also have manual child locks.<br />
Child safety locks activated<br />
An illuminated light, together with a text message<br />
on the display, indicates that the locks<br />
are activated. The doors cannot be opened<br />
from inside. The power windows can only be<br />
operated with the controls on the driver’s<br />
door.<br />
