Display of programme type<br />
The programme type of the current station<br />
can be shown in the display.<br />
NOTE<br />
Not all radio stations support this function.<br />
Activating/deactivating display<br />
– Press MENU and then ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to PTY and press ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Show PTY and press ENTER.<br />
Radio text<br />
Some RDS stations transmit information on<br />
programme content, artists, etc. This information<br />
can be shown in the display.<br />
Activating/deactivating radio text<br />
– Press MENU and then ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Radio text and press ENTER.<br />
Automatic frequency update – AF<br />
The AF function selects one of the strongest<br />
transmitters for a set station. The radio may<br />
sometimes need to search through the entire<br />
FM wavelength to find a strong transmitter. If<br />
this occurs, the radio mutes and PI seek Exit<br />
to cancel appears on the display.<br />
Activating/deactivating AF<br />
– Press MENU and then ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Advanced radio settings and<br />
press ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to AF and press ENTER.<br />
Regional radio programmes – REG<br />
This function causes the radio to<br />
continue with a regional transmitter<br />
even if its signal strength is low.<br />
REG indicates that the function is<br />
active. The regional function is normally deactivated.<br />
Activating/deactivating REG<br />
– Press MENU and then ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Advanced radio settings and<br />
press ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Regional and press ENTER.<br />
Enhanced Other Networks – EON<br />
The EON function is particularly useful in urban<br />
areas with many regional radio stations.<br />
It allows the distance between the car and<br />
the radio station transmitter determine when<br />
programme functions should interrupt the<br />
current audio source.<br />
• Local – interrupts only if the radio station<br />
transmitter is close.<br />
• Distant 1 – interrupts if the station transmitter<br />
is far away, even if there is a lot of<br />
static.<br />
• Off – no interruption for programmes from<br />
other transmitters.<br />
Activating/deactivating EON<br />
– Press MENU and then ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Advanced radio settings and<br />
press ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to EON and press ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Local , Distant or Off and press<br />
ENTER.<br />
Resetting RDS functions<br />
Resets all radio settings to the original factory<br />
settings.<br />
– Press MENU and then ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Advanced radio settings and<br />
press ENTER.<br />
– Scroll to Reset all and press ENTER.<br />
Volume control, programme types<br />
The interrupting programme form is heard at<br />
the volume selected for such. If the volume<br />
level is adjusted during the programme interruption,<br />
the new level is saved until the next<br />
programme interruption.<br />
