Integrated booster cushion (option)<br />

WARNING<br />

Never place a child in a child seat or on a<br />

booster cushion in the front seat if the airbag<br />

(SRS) is activated.<br />

No one shorter than 140 cm should ever sit<br />

in the front passenger seat if the airbag<br />

(SRS) is activated. 1<br />

Failure to follow the advice given above can<br />

endanger the life of the child.<br />

Raising the booster cushion<br />

<strong>Volvo</strong>’s integrated booster cushion for the<br />

outer rear seats is specially designed to provide<br />

optimum safety for children. Combined<br />

with the regular seatbelts, the booster cushion<br />

is approved for children weighing between<br />

15 and 36 kg.<br />

– Pull that handle to raise the booster<br />

cushion (1).<br />

– Grasp the cushion with both hands and<br />

push it backwards (2).<br />

– Push until it locks in place (3).<br />

WARNING<br />

The booster cushion must be in the locked<br />

position before the child is placed there.<br />

Check that:<br />

• the booster cushion in locked in position.<br />

• the seatbelt is in contact with the child’s<br />

body and is not slack or twisted<br />
