43. Wisdom¹ is one thing, and death² is<br />

another. ‘Wisdom’ (in Aramaic) is<br />

simply ‘wisdom’ (in Greek), yet the<br />

wisdom <strong>of</strong> death is (itself) dead. This<br />

which is the wisdom with death, which<br />

is from the acquaintance with death —<br />

this is called the minor wisdom. (¹Aram<br />

tmkx [khokmat] = Heb hmkx [khokmah]: wisdom;<br />

44. <strong>The</strong>re are animals submissive to<br />

mankind, such as the calf and the<br />

donkey and others <strong>of</strong> this kind. <strong>The</strong>re<br />

are others not submissive,¹ isolated in<br />

the wilds. <strong>The</strong> human plows in the field<br />

by means <strong>of</strong> the submissive animals,<br />

and by this he feeds himself as well as<br />

the animals— whether domesticated or<br />

wild. (Pro 14:4) So it is with the Perfect<br />

Person: thru the submissive powers he<br />

plows, providing to cause the existence<br />

<strong>of</strong> everything. For because <strong>of</strong> this the<br />
