126. How will he bestow repose on<br />

everyone? First <strong>of</strong> all, it is not<br />

appropriate to aggrieve anyone —<br />

whether great or small, whether<br />

unbeliever or believer. <strong>The</strong>n, to provide<br />

repose for those who rest among the<br />

good. <strong>The</strong>re are some whose privilege<br />

it is to provide repose for those who<br />

are ideal. He who does good cannot <strong>of</strong><br />

himself give repose to these, for he<br />

does not come <strong>of</strong> his (own) volition. Yet<br />

neither can he aggrieve them, for he<br />

does not oppress them. But he who is<br />

ideal sometimes grieves them— not<br />

that he is thus (grievous), but rather it<br />

is their (own) wickedness which causes<br />

them grief. He who is natural° gives joy<br />

to him who is good— yet from this<br />

some grieve terribly. (Pro 21:15, Th 90)<br />
