Error Messages in Novell NetWare<br />

“Installation error, wrong CAPI driver loaded.”<br />

“Installation error, <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong>-xx unknown keyword<br />

.”<br />

“Installation error, <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong>-xx value too<br />

long.”<br />

“Installation error, <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong>-xx illegal value.”<br />

Possible cause: You have replaced some files in the <strong>ISDN</strong>-<br />

<strong>Controller</strong> driver installation folder (on obtaining updated<br />

drivers from the <strong>AVM</strong> Data Call Center, for example). Older<br />

files in the same directory cause version conflicts.<br />

Remedy: Always perform the full <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong> <strong>B1</strong> <strong>PCI</strong> <strong>v4.0</strong><br />

installation procedure; never replace individual files.<br />

Error message: “Installation error, <strong>Controller</strong>-xx with I/O<br />

address does not answer.”<br />

Possible cause: <strong>The</strong> <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong> was not fully loaded or<br />

the hardware is damaged.<br />

Remedy: Repeat the complete installation of the <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong>.<br />

To test the hardware, you may install the <strong>ISDN</strong> <strong>Controller</strong><br />

in DOS and then run the program <strong>B1</strong> Test. In case of a<br />

hardware defect, please contact your dealer or <strong>AVM</strong>.<br />

Error message: “... at least one application is registered.”<br />

Possible cause: You tried to unload or uninstall the <strong>AVM</strong><br />

<strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong> <strong>B1</strong> <strong>PCI</strong> <strong>v4.0</strong> while an application (such as a<br />

terminal or fax program) was still using it.<br />

Remedy: First end all applications that use the <strong>ISDN</strong>-<strong>Controller</strong>.<br />

<strong>The</strong>n you can unload or uninstall it.<br />
