• Right‐click the mobile device on which you want to launch session<br />

monitor and select Mobile Device Details.<br />

5 In the Mobile Device Details dialog box, click the Device Details tab.<br />

6 Double‐click the Session Monitor icon.<br />

The Telnet Session Monitor window opens. The yellow‐lined box<br />

represents what the mobile device user can see on the mobile device<br />

screen.<br />

Launching <strong>Wavelink</strong> Communicator<br />

Communicator is a push‐to‐talk application that enables users to<br />

communicate with one another in a one‐to‐one (device to device) or one‐tomany<br />

(broadcast) mode of operation. You can launch it from the <strong>Avalanche</strong><br />

<strong>Console</strong> and use it to talk to people who are using mobile devices with<br />

Communicator installed. For detailed information refer to the <strong>Wavelink</strong><br />

Communicator <strong>User</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>.<br />

To launch Communicator:<br />

1 Ensure you have installed a Communicator package to the <strong>Avalanche</strong><br />

<strong>Console</strong> and deployed it to the mobile device.<br />

2 Select a Server Location from the Navigation Window.<br />

3 Click the Mobile Device Inventory tab.<br />

4 Right‐click the device you want to communicate with and select Launch<br />

Communicator.<br />

5 Alternately you can access the Mobile Device Details dialog box, click the<br />

Device Details tab and double‐click the Communicator icon.<br />

The Communicator will connect to the mobile device and you can begin<br />

transmissions.<br />

Software Inventory<br />

The <strong>Console</strong> gathers mobile device software inventory every 24 hours and<br />

displays the information in the Installed Software tab of the Mobile Device<br />

Details dialog box. The Installed Software tab consists of two parts:
