<strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong><br />

You interact with your wireless network primarily using the <strong>Avalanche</strong><br />

<strong>Console</strong>. The <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong> allows you to control global characteristics<br />

of your wireless network. These characteristics include creating profiles,<br />

assigning IP addresses, and monitoring network performance.<br />

The <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong> is traditionally accessed from a computer where the<br />

<strong>Console</strong> has been installed. This installed <strong>Console</strong> is the <strong>Java</strong> <strong>Console</strong>.<br />

However, using an internet connection, you also can access a version of the<br />

<strong>Console</strong> from a computer where the <strong>Console</strong> has not been installed. This is<br />

called the Web <strong>Console</strong>.<br />

The Web <strong>Console</strong> allows you to create and view reports and floorplans, view<br />

inventory, and manage profiles and alerts for your enterprise.<br />

Launching the <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong><br />

Using the <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong>, you can configure and manage your wireless<br />

network. You can open the <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong> from the Programs menu or<br />

from a shortcut.<br />

To open the <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong>:<br />

1 From the Start menu, select Programs > <strong>Wavelink</strong> <strong>Avalanche</strong> SE ><br />

<strong>Avalanche</strong> SE <strong>Console</strong>.<br />

The <strong>Wavelink</strong> <strong>Avalanche</strong> Login dialog box appears.
