Blackout Window<br />
A synchronization program developed by<br />
Microsoft. It allows a mobile device<br />
synchronize with the machine running<br />
<strong>Avalanche</strong>.<br />
<strong>User</strong>s assigned as Administrator<br />
Accounts have unlimited permissions,<br />
and can assign and change permissions<br />
for Normal user accounts.<br />
A collection of traits that define a<br />
response to a specific network or<br />
statistical alert. Typically, an alert profile<br />
consists of the alerts being monitored and<br />
either an e‐mail address or proxy<br />
computer to which the alert is forwarded.<br />
Authorized users are users that have<br />
permission to access assigned areas of the<br />
<strong>Console</strong> and the ability to perform certain<br />
tasks. Administrator users have access to<br />
all areas and tasks in their Home region;<br />
Normal users must be assigned to specific<br />
areas or tasks in order to view or perform<br />
them.<br />
The <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong> is the graphical<br />
user interface (GUI) where you manage<br />
your Servers, profiles and devices. The<br />
<strong>Java</strong> <strong>Console</strong> must be installed on a<br />
computer, but the Web <strong>Console</strong> can be<br />
accessed from any Web browser that can<br />
connect to your enterprise server.<br />
A period of time when the Mobile Device<br />
Servers and Infrastructure Servers are not<br />
allow to contact the Enterprise Server,<br />
eliminating heavy bandwidth and<br />
allowing control the flow of device<br />
connections to the Enterprise Server.
