Appendix C: Port Information<br />

This appendix provides information about the ports used in <strong>Avalanche</strong> SE.<br />

The information provided includes:<br />

• Database Ports<br />

• Enterprise Server Ports<br />

• Mobile Device Server Ports<br />

• <strong>Wavelink</strong> Products Used with <strong>Avalanche</strong><br />

NOTE Except where noted, the ports listed are all inbound ports.<br />

Database Ports<br />

When <strong>Avalanche</strong> is installed with the default database (PostgreSQL), the<br />

default port for database communication is 5432.<br />

Enterprise Server Ports<br />

The following table provides a list of ports that the Enterprise Server uses.<br />

7221 <strong>Avalanche</strong> License Server TCP<br />

7225 InfoRail Service TCP<br />

7226 InfoRail Service IR-to-IR router port TCP<br />

8009 Tomcat AJP for integrating with Apache httpd TCP<br />

8080 Tomcat HTTP TCP<br />

NOTE The Enterprise Server also listens on 8443 for a Tomcat connection with<br />

an SSL certificate. You can change this to 443 in the server.xml file if no<br />

other program is using 443.
