When a scheduled Universal Deployment event has<br />

occurred.<br />

When an Update Firmware event has occurred.<br />

When a user logs on or logs off the <strong>Avalanche</strong><br />

<strong>Console</strong>.<br />

When a user account is modified.<br />

When the VLACL is modified.<br />

To enable audit logging:<br />

1 Click Tools > Preferences.<br />

The Preferences dialog box appears.<br />

2 Select the Audit Logging tab.<br />

3 Enable the Enable Audit Logging check box.<br />

4 If you want the audit log archived, enable Enable Audit Log Archiving<br />

and select the time of day (using a 24‐hour clock) you want the log to be<br />

archived.<br />

5 From the list, enable the events you want to record.<br />

6 Click Apply.<br />

7 Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.<br />

Viewing the Audit Log<br />

If you enable audit logging for the <strong>Console</strong>, you can view the activity from the<br />

Audit Log. The log provides information based on the logging preferences<br />

you set for audit logging. You can view the date and time of the <strong>Console</strong><br />

activity, the IP address and username of the person who performed the<br />

action, and a description of the changes that occurred.
