Managing <strong>User</strong> Accounts<br />

A user account is required to log into the <strong>Avalanche</strong> <strong>Console</strong>. <strong>User</strong> accounts<br />

allow you to define who can access components and perform tasks. <strong>User</strong>s will<br />

not be able to access the <strong>Console</strong> without an account.<br />

There are two types of accounts: Administrator and Normal. An<br />

Administrator account can access and modify all the configurations in<br />

<strong>Avalanche</strong>. A Normal account is assigned to specific sites or profiles and is<br />

only authorized to view or make changes in his assigned areas.<br />

Upon installation of <strong>Avalanche</strong>, an Administrator account is created<br />

automatically. This account allows you to create new Administrator or<br />

Normal user accounts and restrict or allow administration of your wireless<br />

network.<br />

NOTE <strong>Wavelink</strong> recommends that you create a new administrative user.<br />
