INSTALLATION ORBAN MODEL <strong>9400</strong><br />

Remote Control Interface Programming<br />

[Skip this step if you do not wish to program the GPI (contact closure) remote control<br />

interface.]<br />

1. Navigate to SETUP > NEXT > NETWORK & REMOTE > REMOTE INTERFACE.<br />

2. Program one or more remote control interfaces.<br />

A) Navigate to the desired Remote Interface button (1 through 8) by repeatedly<br />

pressing the NEXT button.<br />

B) Hold down the button while turning the knob to select the desired function<br />

for the interface.<br />

Use either button below the appropriate graphics; both work the same.<br />

A momentary pulse of voltage will switch most functions, except as<br />

noted.<br />

Preset Name: switches the named preset on the air. The control interface<br />

can recall any factory or user preset.<br />

Input: Analog: selects the analog inputs.<br />

Input: Digital: selects the digital input and but does not apply deemphasis<br />

to it.<br />

Input: Digital+J.17: selects the digital input and applies J.17 de-emphasis<br />

to it.<br />

Bypass: switches the Bypass Test Mode on the air.<br />

Tone: switches the Tone Test Mode preset on the air.<br />

Exit Test: If a test preset is presently on the air, EXIT TEST reverts to the<br />

previous processing preset.<br />

Analog Chain Stereo: connects the left and right outputs of the stereo<br />

enhancer and AGC (which always operate in stereo) to the left and right<br />

inputs of the analog chain processing. The analog chain processing starts<br />

with its equalizer section.<br />

Analog Chain Mono from Left, Mono from Right, or Mono from<br />

Sum: Takes the Left, Right, or Sum (L+R) from the outputs of the stereo<br />

enhancer and AGC and applies it to the left and right inputs of <strong>9400</strong>’s<br />

analog processing chain. In any of these modes, the left and right outputs<br />

of the analog processing chain carry identical signals and either can be<br />

used to drive a mono transmitter.<br />

Digital Chain Stereo: connects the left and right outputs of the stereo<br />

enhancer and AGC (which always operate in stereo) to the left and right
