For natural gas liquids, returning to the 2007/2008 level of leases and permits issued would be associated with a 25<br />

milli<strong>on</strong> barrel a year average increase in producti<strong>on</strong> between now and 2015 (Table 3). Given New Mexico and Wyoming’s<br />

history of greater natural gas producti<strong>on</strong> <strong>on</strong> federal lands, those two states would also benefit from a return in this<br />

category as well. New Mexico would average an annual increase of 2.6 milli<strong>on</strong> barrels of natural gas liquids over the next<br />

five years, and Wyoming would average an annual 1.6 milli<strong>on</strong> barrel increase.<br />
