Wellbore fluid hydraulics (ECD) modeling shall be performed in well secti<strong>on</strong>s c<strong>on</strong>taining a potential flow<br />

z<strong>on</strong>e in order to assess pore pressure and fracture gradient limits.<br />

In order to best facilitate the installati<strong>on</strong> of a cement barrier element, centralizer placement, ECD and fluid<br />

displacement simulati<strong>on</strong>s shall be performed.<br />

Within the c<strong>on</strong>straints imposed by hydraulic, operati<strong>on</strong>al, logistical or well architecture limitati<strong>on</strong>s, the<br />

results of these simulati<strong>on</strong>s shall be c<strong>on</strong>sidered during the cementing design and executi<strong>on</strong>.<br />

ECD pressure calculati<strong>on</strong>s shall include any flow restricti<strong>on</strong>s, particularly those of significant length and<br />

small cross-secti<strong>on</strong>al area, such as liner overlaps, liner top packers, liner hangers, tieback sleeves, casing<br />

c<strong>on</strong>necti<strong>on</strong>s and drill pipe tool joints.<br />

<str<strong>on</strong>g>The</str<strong>on</strong>g> planned TOC shall cover the shallowest potential flow z<strong>on</strong>e.<br />

Is hole enlargement minimized sufficiently to allow for adequate centralizati<strong>on</strong><br />

Is the wellbore trajectory sufficiently smooth to allow for running casing and adequate centralizati<strong>on</strong><br />

Has the risk of trapped annular pressure in designing the TOC been assessed and mitigated for subsea<br />

wellheads<br />

Is there a plan for mitigating lost circulati<strong>on</strong><br />

Has the use of mechanical barriers (e.g. liner top packers, ECPs) been evaluated and included in the well<br />

design if warranted<br />

Has the rathole length been minimized or filled with drilling fluid with a density greater than the cement<br />

density
